Welcome to Ty Beic.

‘Ty’ is Welsh for house and ‘Beic’ Welsh for bike and is the name of my holiday cottages near Bala, North Wales.

I chose the name because I love cycling, and I chose the area because it offers some of the finest mountain, gravel and road cycling in the UK.

But it’s not all about the bike.  Situated on a hill above the tiny hamlet of Sarnau 4 miles north of Bala, these two stone barns have been restored to a very high standard to provide all year round self-catering holiday accommodation, and the perfect base to explore North and Mid Wales.

The cottages are surrounded by nearly 2 acres of land with stunning views of the Berwyn Mountains to the south and walks from the door across moors and hills to secret lakes and rivers.

Situated on the southern edge of Eryi National Park (Snowdonia), Ty Beic is a short drive to the mountains and beaches of North Wales, and the mountain bike centres at Coed y Brenin, OnePlanet Adventure, Antur Stiniog, Revolution Bike Park, Dyfi, Gwydir and Penmachno.

To book, see Prices and Availability.  Don’t forget, dogs are welcome too.
