Ty Beic began life in 2015.
I moved to North Wales in June 2013. After living in London for nearly 20 years and spending the majority of my leisure time escaping the city to ride my bicycle, I decided it was time to move. I resigned from my job of running classical musical concerts and made plans for my escape.
I decided on Bala as it is close to many of the country’s best trail centres, offers superb roading cycling and is a beautiful place to live. The plan was to find a home which also had buildings which could be used a holiday accommodation. After looking at many properties I found Ty Hen in Sarnau.
I was once a cat 2 road racer but have hung up my racing wheels and now devote my cycling time to hammering around the local lanes and discovering not very gnary off road trails. I have recently re-discovered my love of music and although my viola is still gathering dust in the corner of the office, having moved from under the spare bed, I spend my ‘spare’ time running social media accounts for a music publisher and composer agency and a composer/pianist.
I run Ty Beic with the help of Jac, my black Labrador.
